Mexico is one of the strongest producers of Persian lime in the world, with an estimated production of 2.5 million tons. This seedless green variety is larger and sweeter than the lime, ideal for beverages, nectars and food preparation.

OriginIts origin is uncertain, although recent studies place it in Southeast Asia. In the seventies it began to be cultivated in Mexico and by the mid-eighties it became one of the most dynamic products of the agricultural sector. Today it is exported to the United States, Europe and Asia.

The Mexican lime is round, with the thick skin characteristic of some citrus. It is used fresh for culinary purposes and its juice is raw material in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It has a strong flavor, ideal for soft drinks.

OriginAccording to the FAO, Mexico is one of the largest lemon producers in the world, second only to India. JC Frut focuses its production on the highest quality citrus lemon.
HarvestGreatest availability in July, August, October and November. The lemon tree requires climates between 25 and 30 掳C with good air circulation.
